Report of the Investiture Ceremony

The Investiture ceremony was held on Friday 16 June, 2017, in the A.D.C. Auditorium.   The Chief Guest of the day was Shri.C.Sathyamoorthy, Senior Principal, Chinmaya Vidyalaya, Kilpauk, Chennai.  There was a majestic March Past after the  school prayer.  The Vice Principal, Shri.Ramasubramanian,  welcomed the gathering.  The Chief Guest distributed the badges to the School Pupil Leaders, Asst. School Pupil Leaders, House Captains and Prefects – std.VI to XII.   Oath taking by the newly elected council members and captains marked the occasion.

In his address, the Chief Guest advised the students to have a strong mind to withstand disappointments and to have an optimistic  mindset. The programme came to an end with the vote of thanks.


of the 45TH School Anniversary and the Inauguration of the Literary Associations

The school celebrated the 45th School Anniversary and the Inauguration of the Literary Associations  on Monday,  3 July 2017.The Chief Guest of the day was Shri.C.Sathish Kumar, Correspondent, Shivam Inernational School .   Shri.K.K.Anand , Founder, Smart Academy and Shri.Bipin Nanavati, Treasurer, were  among the guests.  The celebration started with the school prayer.  Then, the Principal designate Shri.T.Ramasubramanian, welcomed the gathering.  The school report was presented through an interesting powerpoint presentation.  Next, the endowment prizes and proficiency prizes for the academic year 2016-17  and the prizes to the toppers of the CBSE Board Examinations were distributed. The smart Academy student – Master.Arjun Bharath was felicitated and given a cash award.

The award distribution was followed by the Chief Guest’s address.  In his speech, the Chief Guest presented the steps to achieve success.   The vote of thanks was proposed by the School Pupil Leader, Nikhil of std.XII.  The programme ended with the National Anthem.






The school celebrated Janmashtami in a grand manner on 12 August, 2017.    In connection with the Jamashtami Celebrations, a discourse on ‘Kannanin Athbutha Leelai’ by Kalaimamani Sangeetha Kala Sikhamani  – Kalyanapuram Shri.R.Aaravamudhachariar, renowned Bhagavatha Exponent, Trichy,was arranged on August 10 and 11, 2017.

The  grand Celebrations began with Bhagavad Gita chanting followed by prayer.  Kalaimamani Sangeetha Kala Sikhamani  – Kalyanapuram Shri.R.Aaravamudhachariar, renowned Bhagavatha Exponent, Trichy, was the chief guest.  The auspicious function started with chanting of   KrishnaAshtotram followed by a few  bhajans.  Shri.P.L.Anbuselvan, Tamil Department, welcomed the gathering.

Gita scholarships were distributed to the students by the Chief Guest.  Prizes were also distributed to the students who won in the Srimad Bhagavata Recitation Competition which was held in our school on 05.08.2017 by Sri.D.Parthasarathy, T.C.Trust. The Rolling Shield was awarded to S.R.M.JainVidyashram.

 Ganesh Vasan of Std.X was presented a cash award of Rs.4,500/- from 1(TN) ARMD SQDN NCC  for being selected as the Best Cadet in the Republic Day Parade.

Speaking on this occasion, Kalyanapuram Shri.R.Aaravamudhachariar, advised the parents to inculcate moral values in children from the age of 6 – 15 years.  He appreciated the school for hosting a warm reception.  He blessed the students to have a bright future.  Vote of thanks was proposed by Smt.Anuradha, Tamil Department.  The tamil drama ‘Sonnavannam Chaida Perumal’ was the highlight of the evening.  The following students received the prizes of appreciation:

  • Best male artist   :  Nanda Krishna – X A
  • Best female artist        :  NesagiAmudavel – XI B
  • Consolation prizes:  Aishwariya – SMJV School

The programme came to an end with mangalam.



The school celebrated the Seventy First Independence day celebrations on Tuesday, 15 August,  2017.  The function started with a majestic March Past by the students of KPCVS and SMJV school. The Chief Guests were our distinguished Alumini, Shri.T.Harinandanan and Shri.T.GopiMohan, Buildtec Engineers and Consultants.

The National flag was hoisted by Shri.T.Harinandanan followed by the flag song and National Anthem .  Nikhil Kumar, SPL, welcomed the gathering.

Sr.Principal Shri.NeelakantaPillai, introduced the guests and also advised the students not to forget their past and their teachers.  Shri.T.GopiMohan delivered the Independence Day address.    He reminisced about the dedication and loving nature of his teachers.  He advised the students to make their teachers proud.  SPL- Keerthi.M proposed the vote of thanks.  The programme ended the National Anthem.  Sweets were distributed.






Report of Teachers’ Day Celebration

The school celebrated Teachers’ Day on Tuesday, 05.09.2017 at 9.00 a.m.  The Chief Guest of the day was Dr.R.Palani, Chairman, Akara World School, Trichy. The programme started with the school prayer.  Smt.Seetha Lakshmi, PTA President, welcomed the gathering.

The Chief Guest in his speech, advised the students not to restrict their leaning to textbooks only and to equip themselves to face the International Global demand.  He also advised the teachers to hold their students close to their hearts.

Students celebrated Sr.Principal, Shri.Neelakanta Pillai’s birthday with a cake  and a gift.  Teachers who served for 40 years, 30 years, 25 years , 20 years and 15 years were  honoured. They were given a trophy and a certificate along with  a memento.  All other staff members were honoured with mementos.  This year’s Best Teacher Award for std.VI to VIII was shared by Smt.Anuradha, Shri.Renu Bharathi and Smt.Kritika Rajan.

 The programme ended with the National Anthem.  The PTA hosted lunch for the staff members.


 Report of Hindi Week  Celebration

The school celebrated Hindi Week from 28.08.2017 to 31.08.2017.  The valedictory function was celebrated on Friday, 01.09.2017.  The programme started with prayer.  The Chief Guest of the day was Dr.Malini.V.M.A., Ph.D., guest lecturer, Women’s Christian College, Chennai.  G.S.Balaji, Vice Principal, presided over the function.  To mark the celebration, competitions were held at various levels.  Prizes were distributed to the students by the Chief Guest. The programme ended with the National Anthem.


 School Sanctified

Our school was chosen by His Holiness Jagadguru Sankaracharya of Kancheepuram Mutt to perform Pooja to Lord Thirupurasundari and Sri Chandramouleeswar from 07.09.2017 to 09.09.2017.  The school was sanctified by the divine presence of His Holiness Jagadguru Sankaracharya Jayendra Saraswathi Swamigal and Shri.Vijayendra Saraswathi Swamigal.  The school  reverberated with the chanting of the mantras.  The staff, students, parents and the public received blessings from the Seers.
